5-foot-7, 160-pound, average athletic frame, sloped shoulders, wider back, plenty of room for added weight and strength. Simple, controlled, balanced delivery, hands start and stay high, backside is strong. The separation is even, stride is inline to plate. The arm action is shorter on the back, works out of a ¾ to higher ¾ slot. The fastball was clocked at 78-79 mph, pounded the 4-seamer to glove side, with 2-seamer having action to arm side. The fastball has more there, should climb over time. The changeup has a chance to be an out pitch, clocked at 72-74 mph, sells it well, comes out of his hand looking like a fastball, with 4-seam rotation to it. The curve ball is thrown slower at 64-67 mph, needs to be thrown with more fastball hand speed. The spin and shape is correct, has more depth in there as he throws it harder. The tempo is quick, looked to be confident. Strength and continued overall conditioning will aid in the development.

A left-handed pitcher, with a controlled, simple delivery. The hands start and stay high at chest height, gets to a good gather, stasy over the rubber and works down the mound under control. The separation is even, down through the center part of the frame, direction of lead leg is inline, lead arm/glove stays on target. Repeats the delivery for the most part, working quick with a good tempo to it. The arm action has average length to it, works out of a ¾ slot, worked the fastball in the bottom part of the zone, clocked at 69-71 mph. The fastball/arm action is hidden well, tough to pick up out of his hand. The breaking ball was clocked at 60-63 mph, break was 11/5, needs to be thrown harder, will happen over time with added strength. The changeup showed proper fade to armside, clocked at 59-62 mph. Good looking arm for a freshman, has been groomed well, look for big things over the next few years.
