5-foot-10, 175-pound right-handed hitting SS, fast twitch athlete. Mackenzie showed extremely well at SS, arm is above average, registered 81 across the diamond. He does a great job of catching and throwing all in one motion, has no wasted movements or extra steps. Hits from a wide base, with a high leg kick, gets his hands to the ball quick and stays through the ball well. During the game hit the ball extremely well and hard, tee exit velocity was 92. Plays the game very hard, and at a high speed. Look for him to play at a high level.
8/13/19: Comes with some swing-and-miss in his game, but clears his hips well and put together several impressive at bats against quality arms, producing loud contact and showing an ability to drive the oppo gap. He fits best at second base where his glove and arm could both play as average or better and is a potential helium name to stow away for the spring after impressing evaluators this summer with wood (.291/.417/.481 in 97 plate appearances).
