5-foot-11, 175-pound, wiry strong, athletic frame. A well proportioned athlete, has strength throughout, the neck is long, has plenty of room to fill out. A left-handed pitcher, who has an above average changeup, has action and fade to the arm side, comes out of the same slot, uses the entire body to throw this pitch, clocked at 63-66 mph. The fastball was clocked at 66-72 mph, showed solid movement with 2 seamer, run and sink to the arm side. The breaking ball, has big break, thrown for strikes, needs to be thrown harder, clocked at 50-52 mph, needs to be turned into a cutter or small slider. The delivery is repeatable, has timing and tempo to it, leg raise is high, has coil to it at its peak, gets down the mound on time with easy effort. The front glove has minimal pull, try and stay inline slightly longer. A regimented throwing program, should aid in the velocity, the ability to throw the changeup at repeatedly for strikes is a major weapon.
7/12/16
5-feet-11, 175-pounds, left-handed pitcher, long limbed body, projectable body with room to build some strength. Simple, easy delivery, hands move low to high with leg kick. Arm gets good extension on back side and comes through from high-¾ arm slot. Uses lower half to drive towards the plate, finish leg is inline with the plate. The fastball was 70-74 mph, worked both sides of the plate. Change up is plus pitch and best off speed at 67-68 mph, showed good fade to arm side. Breaking ball had good spin, just a little slow at 55-58 mph. Arm works, clean arm action with good 3 pitch mix, still room to grow and gain velocity.
3/1/16
5-foot-11, 175-pound average athletic build, projectable body frame with room for future development. A left-handed pitcher, the delivery is simple, hands start low and work in sync with the leg raise. The separation is clean, arm is smooth, works fluidly and slightly longer on the backside. The stride direction is straight, long and inline. The arm slot is a natural ¾ slot, fastball was 69-71 mph with cut action to the glove side, he threw strikes to both sides. The changeup was clocked at 64-67 mph, good shape and fade to the arm-side, is a plus pitch. The curveball was clocked at 55-57 mph, had 1/7 break to it, needs to go to a slider or continue to work off the cut action to fastball. Times to the plate were 1.47. With clean arm action, should climb at some point.
