A right-handed pitcher, works from a higher slot, fastball at 81-82 mph, with a ton more in there. Mixed in a slurvey hammer. Look for a huge climb at some point. Pitched in game 2, cruised through his inning of work, fastball held at 82 on the second day. Frame has a chance to be physical and advanced, an above average athlete.
6-foot-2, 170-pound athletic lengthy build. Raw during batting practice, the right-handed hitter clocked an exit velocity of 89 mph. (67.41 mph bat speed average). (19.31 mph hand speed average). Started in an open tall stance with a smooth high load, then used a closed stride. Bat speed is raw, uses an upward swing plane and high finish. He found multiple barrels with loud contact. Showed slurvey action and very consistent control on his 1/7 curveball (66-68). (Max spin 2285; Avg 2212). Shows fading action and arm side control on his changeup (72-73).
