5-foot-11, 170-pound right-handed hitting shortstop and pitcher. Had a great day on the bump and defensively. Shows a solid hand path at the dish as well. On the mound, the fastball touched 83 mph, and he showed pinpoint control with the fastball. The spin pitch was 69-70, correct in shape and trending up. The changeup is 70-72 mph, needs a spin fix and needs to be used more as he matures. The delivery is online with his feet, slot slightly above ¾. The arm works very well and he finishes out front and on time. Does a nice job of tracking the front shoulder and staying with his arm. The post foot does stand on top the rubber, needs to be posted in front of the slab. The lift is repeated, small forward lean as he gets into foot strike. Ran a 7.18 sixty on the laser at the event. Threw 80 mph across the diamond, the glove and foot work are solid through the ball. Made all the plays in the game. The bat has a tee exit velocity of 83 mph. Starts with this base even, small bat wrap. The swing path is long to contact, uses a 1-handed finish after making contact with the ball. The bottom half is under control throughout the swing. Legit prospect.

5-foot-10, 165-pound, lengthy, wiry strong athletic frame, has room for future development. One of the better players at this event, showed extremely well on both sides of the field. A right-handed hitting middle infield, hands and actions are above average, everything flows together from the catch to the release. Works from the ground up, fields out front, easy clean transfer, arm has average length, arm works out of a ¾ slot, the arm was clocked at 78 mph. The feeds, footwork and turns are smooth at second base.  At the plate, stance is balanced throughout, starts slightly open, taller in the box. For timing, uses a larger toe tap, gains a good amount of distance, swing is flat through the zone. Looks to drive the baseball to all fields, approach is more line drive, showed the ability to create backspin to the baseball. The tee exit velocity was clocked at 82 mph, added strength will aid in his power potential. Off the mound, works down hill from the right side. The arm action has average length, works out of a natural ¾ slot. The fastball was drilled to both sides, clocked at 81 mph, has life and action coming out of his hand. The breaking ball was at 64-66 mph, with an 11/5 break to it. The change up shows proper spin and shape, clocked at 73 mph. Times to the plate were under 1.50. The delivery is on time, works smoothly down the mound, repeats the motion for the most part. Projects more as a position player for me, should be able to pitch out of someone's bullpen.

5-foot-10, 156 pounds, athletic, wiry frame. Burrows is just scratching the surface of the potential player he could become by the end of his time playing in Waterford, CT. Burrows is likely to continue growing and has a frame capable of supporting strength gains without sacrificing the athleticism he shows on the mound. On the hill, the ball is released from a ¾ slot. Burrows can at times lose his rhythm and end up throwing across his body, but as just a freshman, gaining consistency in his delivery is likely. His fastball touched 82 mph and was consistently around 79-80 mph and generates some arm side run. The curveball shows signs of developing into a putout pitch but needs sharper break to reach its full potential, clocked at 62-65 mph. The changeup was barely utilized in game action as it is the weakest part of the arsenal, clocked at 67 mph. A right-handed hitter, the stance is slightly open, feet are just wider than shoulder width. The hands are loose, bat has some tilt to it, the swing works freely through the zone with whip out front. The tee exit velocity was clocked at 81 mph, and time down the line was 4.68. Defensively, shows soft hands good actions to and through the baseball. The arm action is a bit longer at the current moment, clocked at 77 mph. The hands are good enough will have to shorten arm action to stick at shortstop. Burrows could emerge as a top end pitcher/position player in the state of CT by the time he graduates high school.

Future Games
5-foot-11, 160-pound, average athletic frame, longer neck, shoulders squared off, room for added strength and mass. A legitimate two way player, showed extremely well on both sides of the field. Off the mound, pounds three pitches for strikes, delivery is simple and sound, on time and inline to the plate. The arm action has average length on the back working out of clean high ¾ slot. The fastball reached 83 mph, was after two days of heavy throwing, baseball comes out with ease. The breaking ball reached 73 mph, and showed feel for the change up. Controls the running game, with good poise on the mound. At the plate, simple balanced approach, swung the bat extremely well in batting practice and collected a single and had hard contact in game play. Shows to have current gap power, tee exit velocity was at 83 mph with a ton more in there as he adds strength. The swing is level to up, creates some lift, keeps the barrel in the zone a long time. The approach is advanced for his age. Defensively, clean prep steps with soft hands, with an easy arm at 82 mph across the diamond. Showed the ability to play all three infield spots, projects out best at third. Big follow, will be able to help on both sides of the field.
