5-foot-9, `167-pound, thin athletic frame, showing wiry strength, with room for added weight. A right-handed pitcher, shows a short quick arm, with the fastball touching 81 mph, with good sink to the arm side. The delivery is simple, small athletic leg raise, stay over the backside. The direction is just so slightly across the body, creating some deception, stride is shorter. Is all over the strike zone, dropped in a slurvy breaking ball at 67-68 mph, with sweeping action to it. Also threw a changeup at 72 mph, which showed good shape and fade action. The fastball is sneaky gets on the hitter. With delivery being under control, with minimal effort, will always throw strikes. Look for fastball to have a jump in there at some point. Solid follow.
5-foot-8, 169 pound right-handed pitcher with easy mechanics and a medium build. He has a high-tempo delivery with high ¾ arm slot. Looks to stay over the back side, direction is inline and lands with a closed off front foot, slightly shorter stride could lengthen. The fastball was clocked at 78 mph, with 2 seam action, kept the ball in the lower part of the zone with some late run on it. The breaking ball had proper spin and shape to it, more of an 11/5 break. Clocked at 63-64 mph, could use more fastball hand speed. The changeup had fade action clocked at 69-70 mph. The breaking pitch was the better of the two secondary pitches. Held runners very well, quick to plate changing looks. Look for him to climb in the next 8 months.
5-foot-8, 159-pound, smaller, rounded shoulders, wiry athletic frame. A quick tempo two-pitch right-handed pitcher. The delivery is compact, movement with hands with leg kick, stride direction is inline, shorter stride, creating a downhill plane to the plate. The arm action is shorter on the backside, working from a higher over the top slot. The fastball was at 74-76 mph, thrown for strikes, 2-seamer had late action, worked both pitches down in the zone. The breaking ball has more tilt break, spin was correct and tight, could be thrown with more fastball hand speed as he adds strength. Times to the plate are quick at 1.37. Like the aggressiveness, needs to add weight with strength. Look for velocity to climb.
