6-foot-4, 175-pound, long, lengthy athletic frame, with plenty of room to fill out. A right-handed hitter, the stance is shoulder width, even and balanced. The hands are loose just above his shoulders and he uses a small toe tap for timing purpose. The swing is flat, level through the baseball and has a two-handed finish. The finish is a bit higher than it has been in previous workouts. The second round of BP was very good, one line drive after another. The tee exit velocity was 92 mph with some whip out front. Times down the line were 4.82. Defensively, prep steps, footwork are good and he attacks the baseball. The hands are soft and gets into throwing position very quickly and he keeps feet moving towards his target. The arm is clean and quick, with above average carry to it and was clocked at 80 mph across the diamond. Double play feeds and turns are clean. Off the mound, fastball was 82-84 mph with sink to the armside, with more in the tank. The breaking ball was thrown soft for a get me over at 62 mph and then a harder one at 68 mph. Works quick and times to plate were 1.15. One of the better players around, has good game on both sides, someone is going to get a good one.

Very good athlete who can play just about anywhere in the field. Shows good range and glove at shortstop as he gets off the ball. The arm strength is plenty and handles the pivot very well. Could bounce over to third base or the the outfield with ease. At the plate, he is spread out and uses his hands very well. The barrel is flat through the zone and his plate coverage is outstanding. Had very good at bats in the games and spread the field. Had 3 hits on the day offensively. On the mound, pitches from an easy ¾ arm slot with a fastball in the low 80’s. The spin pitch is a breaking ball and its big, but the shape of the pitch is done correctly. Handles the running game in the stretch and certainly can field his position on the mound. Big follow as a positional player for me, who could develop into a serious two-way guy with more time spent on the mound.

This 6-foot-4, 182-pound long and athletic body, has serious room to put weight on. This right handed hitter had a tee exit velocity of 89. He hits from an even base, his hands are a bit low and dives forward a little bit. He has pop in his hands, while spraying it to all parts of the field. His time down the line was 4.56 with room for improvement, as he physically matures, this should get better. At shortstop, his hands and feet work well together, he had a good flow through the baseball and showed the ability to make the slow roller pro move. His arm strength was 80 across the diamond with plus carry. Off the bump, his fastball was 80-84. He had a quick and clean arm, with serious arm side sink. His curveball was thrown at 67, it’s more of a slurve. Changeup was 65 and he slows down on it, he needs to sell it with his whole body. At this point, looks to me as a legitimate 2-way guy.
