Joseph Gratta: OF/RHP, (2024) Bristol Central, CT. 5-foot-10, 150-pound long lean build. Above average during batting practice, Gratta clocked an exit velocity of 86 mph. (66.3 mph bat speed average). (19.7 mph hand speed average). Began in a tall open stance with a smooth rhythmic load, then used a controlled leg kick. Bat speed was electric, displayed a short upward swing plane and high finish. He found multiple barrels with tons of loud contact. Gap to gap aggressive approach. Above average his best position velocity in the outfield was registered at 81 mph; shows athletic smooth feet, soft hands, and a twitchy exchange. Laterally, movements were athletic and fielded the ball out front. Had a short very quick arm action and a high ¾ slot with consistent accuracy to the bag. The athletic recruit showcased his speed with a sub-seven 60 time of 6.81. Love the athletic ability and projection.
