7.17.18

6-foot-3, 160-pound, long, thin, lengthy, with plenty of room to fill out. A left-handed pitcher, who works from different arm slots ¾ to low 3/4, causing deception to the delivery. The delivery has some quickness to it, leg raise is athletic with coil to it. The fastball reached 79 mph, located down in the zone to both sides, 2-seamer has action to the arm side, induced a ton of ground balls in his outing. The breaking pitch, is more slider like, horizontal break, velocity was at 65-67 mph.  Showed feel for the change up at 67-68 mph, could be a weapon against right-handed hitters. Looked to be very confident, attacked hitters was in total control of his outing. Good follow, look for the velocity to climb over time, with added strength, has a feel for pitching.

2.19.18

6-foot-3, 160-pound, a long lengthy frame, loads of room to fill out and put weight on. The frame and body work well and are smooth. A left-handed pitcher, gets to a good gather, has some coil to leg raise. The arm is super loose, works out of a ¾ to lower ¾ slot. The extension is very good on release, locates it extremely well down in the zone. The 2-seam fastball is the better of the two fastballs, clocked at 76 mph, has a ton more in there, ball gets on hitter quick.  The change up is probably his best pitch, has depth and action to it, thrown for strikes throughout the outing, clocked at 69-71 mph, sold well with entire body. Breaking ball has more slider break, clocked at 65-68 mph, has cross fire action to it, late break to glove side. Looked to very comfortable and confident on the mound, mixes in a slide step from set position, looks to keep everyone off balance. Love the potential on this one, good follow, should be go to guy at Sheehan this spring.

7/26/17
6-foot-3, 150-pound, thin shoulders, long, lengthy athletic frame, has plenty of room to fill out and add weight on. A left-handed pitcher, who has made huge progress, had a tremendous performance, pitched two solid innings, carving up the opposition. The delivery is repeatable, hands start and stay in the mid section, leans and gets on the back side, stays over the rubber a long time, is on time when he releases the baseball, has minimal pull with the front side. The arm action, works from a low ¾ slot, has above average sink and run to the two seamer, clocked at 73-75 mph, fastball comes out of his hand well.  The breaking ball has slurvy break to it at 60-63 mph. The changeup showed to be an above average pitch, sold with easy repeatable arm action, has sink and fade to the arm side, clocked at 65 mph. Strength is a must, good follow, should have one more big jump with the velocity.

7/27/16
6-foot-2, 150-pound, long, lengthy frame, arms and legs are extremely long. The frame has plenty of room to fill out. A left-handed pitcher, the delivery has tempo and rhythm to it. The hands start high, they move back down on rocker step, and come back up with leg raise. The leg raise is smooth, foot is outside knee for balance, the direction is good and the front glove is strong and stays inside his body. The path is shorter, could long it out a little more, arm works out of a ¾ to low ¾ slot. The fastball was 71-72 mph, threw good low strikes with it to both sides of the plate. The slider was 68-89 mph, has good hand speed with it, needs to get a little more break. The change up has a chance to be an above average pitch, has good shape and fade to armside with it. Times to the plate were 1.35, showed good composure and with some pitchability. Strength is a must and a throwing program, velocity should climb.
