A fastball with rise has a high percentage of backspin. When thrown up in the zone, it is more likely to generate a higher fly ball percentage. Rise+ of 100 is MLB average
Curveball
Hammer+
A hammer breaking ball drops vertically with velocity through the zone, or 12-to-6 movement. Hammer+ of 100 is MLB average.
Curveball
Sweep+
A sweeping breaking ball moves horizontally with velocity through the zone. Sweep+ of 100 is MLB average.
Fastball
Sink+
A fastball with sink has low backspin and drops through the strike zone. When thrown down in the zone, it is more likely to generate a higher ground ball percentage and lower launch angle. Sink+ of 100 is MLB average.

Kyle Justo: OF/OF, (2024) Fairfield Warde, CT. 6-foot, 193-pound. (72.2 mph bat speed average). (23.7 mph hand speed average). Started in a balanced quiet stance with a controlled load, then used a small leg kick. Bat speed was efficient, used a level swing plane and high finish. Solid from the outfield, he made throws to the infield at velocities up to 78 mph; showed sure hands, consistent feet, and a natural exchange. Fields the ball out front, movements laterally were athletic. Had a loose arm action with a high ¾ slot. In the 60-yard dash, recorded a time of 7.22.

In the infield, Justo was up to 73 mph on his throws across the diamond and demonstrated sure hands, a clean exchange, and consistent, smooth feet. In the outfield, he was up to 78 mph on his throws and showed he has smooth, rhythmic feet, sure hands, and a fluid exchange. He also recorded a time of 7.28 in the 60-yard dash.

5-foot-11, 155-pound proportional athletic frame. Projectable in the box, Justo had an exit velocity of 78 mph. (58.01 mph bat speed average). (18.94 mph hand speed average). Begins in a balanced open stance with a smooth controlled load, then uses a short stride. Bat speed is above average, has a flat long swing plane and high finish. He barreled up some balls with loud contact. Line drive approach. Solid in the infield, his best throw was recorded at 70 mph; shows a quick exchange, average feet, and soft hands. Capable in the outfield, he showed the ability to make throws to the bases at 76 mph; has a clean exchange, consistent hands, and fluid feet. Fields the ball out front, movements laterally were athletic. Consistent accuracy to the bag, used a ¾ slot and a short arm action. In the 60-yard dash, his time was 7.69. Raw on the mound, using a loose arm action he showed developing arm speed from a ¾ arm angle. Tall-and-fall type pitcher who shows easy effort. Tall balance point with even shoulders. Lands soft with a clean finish. Produced a fastball that came in at 63-69 mph; shows consistent command and sinking action. (Max spin 1733; Avg 1663). Had a 1/7 curveball (53-57) that showed early action and glove side command. (Max spin 1622; Avg 1559). His changeup (62-63) showed arm side control and fading action.

5-foot-9, 150-pound, smaller, strong athletic frame. Showing twitchy actions, an athlete. A right-handed hitter, at the plate, a balanced stance, starting slightly open, higher flat setup. The lower half is under control, small pick up and put down. The swing is short to the baseball, across the chest, a level path, finishing higher with one hand. The approach is more middle to pull side, squared the baseball up, with solid line drives. The exit velocity was clocked at 79 mph, comes off the bat well for a 2024. An average runner, ran a 7.53, plays faster than times, look for it to drop. Defensively, feet are active, gets around the baseball, slightly wider feet on the catch, could get into a more athletic position, glove is soft out front, working low to ground. The arm action, is shorter on the backside, working from a higher slot, clocked at 65 mph. Threw 68 mph from outfield, approach was under control, shorter stride, throws up hill at times. Off the mound, simple delivery, forward lean to it, could stay over rubber a tick longer, arm is short working from high 3/4 slot. The direction is inline with minimal pull to glove side. The fastball was clocked at 67 mph. The breaking ball was rolled in at 57 mph, will need to add more fastball hand speed, more slider break to it. Like the strength and swing for a younger player.
