8/12/20

5-foot-8, 175-pound right-handed pitcher. The fastball sat 73-75 mph with minimal arm side action to the pitch. The spin pitch is 64-65 mph and too big in shape. The changeup was 68-70 mph and showed action at times. The delivery has crossfire to the feet and the slot is above 3/4 in height. The lift is repeated and the tempo of the delivery is good. The tracking of the front shoulder needs to stay inline as he makes his way into foot strike. He presently pulls the front shoulder and glove offline causing him to be stretched out at release.

7/15/20

5-foot-8, 175-pound, strong solid, durable athletic frame. A right-handed pitcher, worked out as a position player as well. Off the mound, simple delivery, athletic kick, steps across the body, creating crossfire to the delivery. The arm works from a 3/4 to higher 3/4 slot, working downhill. Located the baseball in the bottom part of the zone, had minimal are side run. The fastball touched 76 mph, heavy ball, comes out of the hand, with a spin rate of up over 2000. The breaking ball was thrown for strikes, with depth, clocked in the mid 70's. Defensively, shows a soft glove, moves well to glove side, double play starts were smooth and accurate. The arm was clocked at 73 mph, all throws on target. At the plate, hits from the right side, even feet, loaded hands with bat tilt, swing is short to contact, hands are inside the baseball. The finish is quick, could get through it a tick more, had an exit velocity of 85 mph. Projects out more off the mound.

Exit Velocity: 85 mph

Arm Velocity: 73 mph

Sixty-Yard Dash: 7.84

10/10/19

5-foot-6, 175-pound, smaller, thick, strong lower half athletic frame. A wider back, durable pitchers frame. A right-handed pitcher, simple delivery, working from the stretch position. The lift is clean and athletic, hands start low work up smoothly with kick. Stride length is correct, lands closed, throwing against a firm front leg.  The arm action is short and clean on the backside, working out of a higher ¾ slot. The fastball touched 76 mph, pounded down in the zone. Threw a slurvy hammer for strikes in the mid 60’s. Tempo is good, confident and pounded the zone. Look for him to always be in the zone, should turn into a solid 3 pitch mixer. Continued strength and fast twitch conditioning is a must. Look for him to take a jump this spring.

2/15/19

5-foot-4, 145-pound, solid strong athletic frame for his age. The shoulders are squared off, frame has strength throughout. A right-handed hitting corner infielder. At the plate, slightly open stance, hands are loose set at the shoulders. Looks to keep the hands inside the baseball spraying it from field to field, swing is level through the zone. The lower half could be used a bit more, backside drive is minimal. The tee exit velocity was clocked at 69 mph, and ran the sixty yard dash in 8.37. Defensively, threw 68 mph across the diamond, throws were on target, arm working out of a ¾ slot. The hands are soft on the catch, uses more of a shuffle for the transfer. Solid corner guy, continued strength and conditioning is a must.

Tee Exit Velocity- 69 mph
Arm Velocity- 68 mph
Sixty-Yard Dash- 8.37

11/07/18

5-foot-4, 145-pound, smaller athletic frame, shoulders are rounded, well proportioned for his age. A right-handed pitcher, works from the set position, hands start and stay low. The leg raise is smooth and athletic, gets to a solid gather. The lead leg lands 6 inches across body, needs to be inline more, with lead led being a tick stronger. The arm action is smooth and clean on the back side, works out of a naturale ¾ slot. The fastball was clocked at 72-74 mph, with action to arm side. The breaking ball actions for as a small slider, clocked at 67-68 mph. The changeup was the better of the two secondary pitches, correct shape and fade to it, clocked at 64-65 mph. The changeup has a chance to be an out pitch as he develops. Strength and a regimented throwing program will aid in the velocity.
