Located the baseball in the bottom part of the zone, had minimal are side run. The fastball touched 76 mph, heavy ball, comes out of the hand, with a spin rate of up over 2000. The breaking ball was thrown for strikes, with depth, clocked in the mid 70's. Defensively, shows a soft glove, moves well to glove side, double play starts were smooth and accurate. The arm was clocked at 73 mph, all throws on target. At the plate, hits from the right side, even feet, loaded hands with bat tilt, swing is short to contact, hands are inside the baseball. The finish is quick, could get through it a tick more, had an exit velocity of 85 mph. Projects out more off the mound.

Tempo is good, confident and pounded the zone. Look for him to always be in the zone, should turn into a solid 3 pitch mixer. Continued strength and fast twitch conditioning is a must. Look for him to take a jump this spring.

At the plate, slightly open stance, hands are loose set at the shoulders. Looks to keep the hands inside the baseball spraying it from field to field, swing is level through the zone. The lower half could be used a bit more, backside drive is minimal. The tee exit velocity was clocked at 69 mph, and ran the sixty yard dash in 8.37. Defensively, threw 68 mph across the diamond, throws were on target, arm working out of a ¾ slot. The hands are soft on the catch, uses more of a shuffle for the transfer. Solid corner guy, continued strength and conditioning is a must.

The arm action is smooth and clean on the back side, works out of a naturale ¾ slot. The fastball was clocked at 72-74 mph, with action to arm side. The breaking ball actions for as a small slider, clocked at 67-68 mph. The changeup was the better of the two secondary pitches, correct shape and fade to it, clocked at 64-65 mph. The changeup has a chance to be an out pitch as he develops. Strength and a regimented throwing program will aid in the velocity.
