Mark Kelly: 3B/RHP, (2026) Staples, CT. 5-foot-10, 165-pound athletic solid build. Projectable at the plate, Kelly had an exit velocity of 84 mph. (62.5 mph bat speed average). (18.1 mph hand speed average). Began in a balanced wide stance with a smooth load, then used a small stride. Bat speed was quick, displayed a short simple swing plane and good extension on his finish. In his round he found multiple barrels with a lot of loud contact. Gap to gap line drive approach. Athletic while in the infield, made throws at velocities up to 70 mph; had a clean natural exchange, soft hands, and athletic smooth footwork. Fields the ball out front, movements laterally were average. Consistent accuracy to the bases, used a high ¾ slot with a short arm action. During the event, ran the 60-yard dash in 8.13. Projectable on the mound, had a compact arm action and a high ¾ arm angle with developing arm speed. Feel tall-and-fall type pitcher who uses easy effort. During his delivery balance point is tall with in line shoulders. Lands square with an athletic balanced finish. Produced a fastball that came in at 72-75 mph; showed both sides of the plate command with straight movement. (Max spin 1794; Avg 1726). He showed tight action and glove side command on his 12/6 curveball (62-66). (Max spin 2153; Avg 2111). Showed fading swing and miss action and arm side control on his changeup (66-68).
