(65.7 mph bat speed average). (18.5 mph hand speed average). Started in a wide balanced stance with a high load, then used a short stride. Bat speed is quick, displays a short simple swing plane and good extension on his finish. Had a lot of loud contact and found multiple barrels. Gap to gap approach. 5-foot-9, 145-pound two-way prospect. During batting practice, Hoon recorded an exit velocity of 81 mph with a (62.7 mph bat speed average) and (18.8 mph hand speed average). He begins in a balanced, athletic stance with a rhythmic load. A controlled stride initiates a simple, flat swing with good extension. During his round, Hoon showed good hands and a gap to gap approach. In the infield, made throws up to 62 mph across the diamond, while showing he had sure hands, a clean exchange, and consistent, smooth footwork. On the mound, Hoon used a long, high ¾ arm slot to produce a fastball that sits 66-68 mph (Max spin 1528; Avg 1448) with some late arm side run. His delivery is easy, direct with good tempo. He gets to a good balance point and lands square with a clean finish. Hoon also flashed a 12/6 curveball (55-58 mph)(Max spin 1648; Avg 1437) and a late fading changeup (60-61 mph).
