3/7/17

6-foot-195-pound strong, durable, thick athletic frame. One of the better players in area, has worked extremely hard on getting in better shape, frame and body look very good. A right-handed hitting third baseman, is a complete gamer, is tough as nails. Swings the bat a very high level, has above average power. The stance is balanced throughout, feet are even, slightly wider than shoulder width, hands are set at shoulder height. The swing is powerful, it's flat through the zone, finishes high with two hands, stays inside the baseball, barrel stays in the zone a long time and gets through it well. The approach is middle to pull, has above average power to the pull side. Took two solid rounds of batting practice peppering the back wall. The tee exit velocity was 87 mph and ran a 7.43, runs well for a big strong kid. Defensively, feet move well, hands are good, arm has good strength across the diamond, clocked at 83 mph, plenty of carry and flight. The backhand play was made proper, moves well to glove side and showed good athleticism on the slow roller play. Big time hitter for me, a move to first could possibly happen at the higher level, definite follow.

Sixty-Yard Dash: 7.43

Exit Velocity: 87 mph

Arm Velocity: 83 mph

12/4/16

6-foot, 195-pound, strong physical frame. Well proportioned athlete, the lower half is extremely strong and thick, shoulders are squared off and are wide. One of the better players in the class of 2018, continues to impress in all phases of the game. A right-handed hitter, who squares the ball up one after another. Shows to have above average power to the pull side. The stance is even, feet are just slightly wider than shoulder width. The hands start at shoulder height, the bat is in a very good starting point, some tilt to it. The hands are strong, the swing is short to the ball and long after, with lift and leverage to his swing. For timing uses a controlled leg kick, tee exit velocity was 91 mph, made solid contact in all rounds of BP. The sixty yard dash was clocked at 7.63. Defensively, shows soft hands, moves well to both sides, arm was clocked at 84 mph, has life and carry across the diamond. Fields the baseball out front, the flow in starting the double was good, smooth throughout. Off the mound, has a simple and repeatable delivery, has a power leg kick and gets loaded up well. The arm action has average length to it, stride is long, and finishes out front. The fastball was in the low 80’s, has been higher before, I'm sure fatigue has set in this late in season. The fastball is located down in the zone to both sides, with more in the tank, it's heavy and bores in on righties. The changeup might be his best pitch, it's a circle change, has depth and action to the armside. Clocked at 68-72 mph, very good seed off the fastball. Throws a spike curveball, clocked at 66-69 mph, backed up at times. Big time follow, getting recruited by local schools.

6-foot, 195- pound, strong physical frame, shoulders and back are wide and strong. Well proportioned throughout. One of the better 2018’s that I've seen over the summer, had a very good workout. In game performance was good on both sides of the field. A right-handed hitter, drives the ball to all fields with serious juice. The tee exit velocity was 86 mph, it’s powerful. The stance is even and feet are a little wider than shoulder width. The hands are loose set above the shoulders, angle of the bat is flat and gets it to the ball very quickly. The swing is flat all the way through and finishes with two hands. In games swings were aggressive, hit a HR and drove it well to the opposite field gap. Times down the line were 4.65. On the mound, this right-hander, has a simple, repeatable delivery. The hands start mid chest and stay there through of the delivery. The leg raise is smooth, the direction is inline and has good length. The arm action is short, with a crank action to it. He gets good extension on the finish, but recoils at times, needs to finish it all the way. The fastball was 81-85 mph, it's a heavy ball, with action to the armside. The changeup is an above average pitch, clocked at 67-71 mph. The breaking ball was 65-67 mph, spin was ok and was thrown for strikes. Defensively, plays the hot corner, fields ball out front and gathers it with two hands. Keeps his feet moving throughout the transfer to the throw. The arm was clocked at 81 mph, has good carry and flight. Projects as a hitter with ability to help on the mound. Legit two way guy at the current moment.
