5-foot-8, 200-pound, strong, solid athletic frame, strength throughout. A right-handed hitting two-way player. At the plate, shows real good strength, wider even feet setup, sitting in a lower squat position. The hands are loose and relaxed, loaded hands with bat tilt. The swing is powerful, hands are inside the baseball, a level to up path, stays behind the baseball on contact, creating a good amount of backspin to the baseball. The exit velocity was clocked at 89 mph and moves well for a bigger player, ran a 7.40 sixty-yard dash. Defensively, worked out at shortstop, active prep steps, comes through the baseball working low to the ground. The glove is soft and out front, showed a clean longer arm path, clocked at 77 mph. Looks to be able to handle third base, plenty of arm to stick there. Off the mound, worked a heavy two-pitch mix, fastball at 81 mph, heavy bore action to it. Spun a harder slider at 77-79 mph, with a 1990 spin rate. Simple delivery, higher hand set, slight drift down the mound, inline direction, minimal pull and tuck with glove side. The arm action is free and clean from a higher slot. Time will tell which way he goes, good looking prospect.
