5-foot-9, 155-pond, strong athletic frame, sloped shoulders with room for added weight. The wrists and hands have above average strength for his age. A left-handed hitting catcher, who can really swing the bat. At the plate, starts slightly open, hands are loose and relaxed, set lower with minimal pre-pitch movement to them. The lower half is under control, uses a small leg kick into foot strike. The swing is level through the zone, slight lift at the end. The hands have life to them, an all fields approach, could stay through it a tick longer at the backend. The tee exit velocity was clocked at 75 mph with a ton more in there as he adds strength and physically matures. Defensively, the arm was clocked at 62 mph, arm action is short and quick, throws right from his ear. The upper half has some leak, leans forward on throws, could stay over middle a tick longer. The feet are quick, work with minimal effort. The setup behind the plate is relaxed, gets behind the baseball on the catcher, hands are soft and strong on the catch. Good looking young prospect, potential to hit at some point.
