A left-handed hitting catcher, the top tool is his ability to square the baseball up with solid hard contact. The stance is wider, feet are even, more weight sits on the back side. The hands are set below the shoulders, for timing uses a small minimal stride. The swing is down to level, flat across his chest, finishes with two hands at shoulder height. The swing is very short to the baseball, could get hands back more in the loading process. The tee exit velocity 76 mph, took a solid round off batting peppering the right- center field gap. Defensively, shows a strong arm, had a pop time of 2.08-2.27, arm was clocked at 72 mph. The setup is super athletic, feet are wide, slightly side saddles, hands are soft and real strong when receiving. The transfer is clean, smooth, gains ground with fluidity. The arm action is clean, works out of a higher slot. Throws are on a line near the bag. A three sport athlete, once he focuses more on baseball, game will climb quick, good follow.
