6-foot, 165-pound, stronger athletic frame, the shoulders are rounded, back is wide, has room to fill out. A left-handed hitting catcher, stance is even at shoulder width. The hands are held higher in the middle of the body. Shows to have good separation, hands load low, small arm bar, swing is flat through the zone finishing below the shoulders. The lower half is engaged, uses a higher leg kick for timing, backside helps with supplying some pop to the swing. The approach is more middle to the pull side, had a tee exit velocity of 76 mph with more in there as he shortens swing a bit. Defensively, had a pop time of 2.26-2.28 and arm was clocked at 67 mph. The arm works from his ear, out of a ¾ slot. The footwork is a tick long, stays inline, needs to shorten steps, should help with pop time. The hands are soft on the catch, does a good job on the low pitch and anticipates the ditr balls. Continued refinement of all mechanics is a must, will aid in the development.
