Defensively, showed very well at shortstop, controlled approach, fields out front feet moved throughout, no wasted movement during transfer. The mechanics need to tighten a tick, the hands are soft on the catch, and moves well back there with minimal effort. The swing is flat through the zone, barrel stays in the zone, approach is more line drive from middle to pull side. The hands work with easy effort, with whip out front, had a tee exit velocity of 67 mph and ran a 5.25. Defensively, feet and hands work together nicely, bounce in his step behind the plate. The arm was clocked at 59 mph, with a pop time of 2.44. The setup is athletic and low to the ground, transfer is quick, glove across the face, right foot, replaces left foot. At shortstop, arm was clocked at 58 mph, easy clean transfer, fielding out front. The feet could continue to move after the toss. Projects for me from behind the plate, game should climb rather quickly.
