6-foot, 235-pound, wide, strong athletic frame. The lower half is very strong, has a durable pitcher’s frame. A right-handed pitcher who throws three pitches for strikes, is aggressive and pounds the strike zone, has more of a drop and drive approach. The delivery is balanced throughout, hands have some movement with the leg raise, gets to a good gather position, has length to the stride and gets squared up on the release. The arm action is short, quick and clean on the backside, hides the ball extremely well. The arm works out of a ¾ slot, ball jumps out of his hand, 2 seam fastball has action to the arm side, with good sink. The fastball was clocked at 78-81 mph, has a ton more in there, is still recovering from a hand injury a year ago. The breaking ball is his best pitch, clocked at 69-74 mph, it’s hard curve into a slider, break is late, is thrown consistently for strikes. The change up comes out of the same slot, with good action, hard to see the spin, very good pitch. Times to the plate were at 1.50, worked quickly in between pitches. Good looking arm, conditioning will help aid in his overall performance, definite follow.
