Thomas Kluntz: C/RHP, (2022) out of Enfield, CT. is a 5-foot-10, 156-pound two-way prospect. At the plate, the right-handed hitter had an exit velocity of 83 MPH. He hits out of a tall and balanced stance with the hands set just off the back shoulder. The swing takes a flat swing plane and Kluntz gets good extension through contact. The swing is simple and produced a lot of line drives. Behind the plate, Kluntz was 70 MPH during throw downs. He sets up in a staggered stance with the glove in the center of the chest. As he transitions to throw, he has a clean exchange, rhythmic feet, and sure hands. On the mound, Kluntz used a short ¾ arm slot that produced a fastball that sits 74-75 MPH with arm-side run. The delivery is clean and allows him to be balanced throughout. He stays in line with home plate and finishes over his front leg. Kluntz also featured a changeup (70-71 MPH) with late fading action and a tight slider (66-67 MPH).
