5-foot-10, 150-pound, thin, average athletic frame, has plenty of room for future development. A right-handed hitting first baseman. At the plate, starts slightly open, hands are set just below the shoulders, they are loose, bat starts in more of a flat position. For timing uses a higher leg kick, hands get back in a good loading position. The swing has a bit of an arm bar, could keep the hands inside the baseball more. Its flat through the zone and finishes with two hands at shoulder height. The weight gets on the backside and stays behind the baseball on contact. The approach is to the middle to pull side, recorded a tee exit velocity of 70 mph. Ran the sixty-yard dash in 8.22. Defensively, worked out at first base, gets off the bag, footwork is clean around the bag. The hands are soft, fields out front, transfer and actions are clean. The am action is short and clean on the backside, needs to add strength and arm speed, arm was clocked at 63 mph, works out of a ¾ slot. The footwork on drop steps starting the double play, were smooth and on time, very good flow. Still young, strength and speed are a must will aid in his development.
