Vertical Jump
A measure of any athlete's body strength and reach calculated from the flight time divided by the contact time.
Mason Eighmy: RHP/SS, (2027) Haddam-killingworth High School, CT. 5-foot-10, 140-pound slim athletic frame. Solid during batting practice, Eighmy recorded an exit velocity of 76 mph. (60.8 mph bat speed average). (18.2 mph hand speed average). Started in a tall athletic stance with a smooth load, then used a controlled toe tap stride. Bat speed is average, displays a loose level swing plane and good extension on his finish. He created some loud contact and found some barrels. Line drive pull side approach. Above average while in the infield, made throws up to 67 mph; had a clean exchange, soft hands, and athletic smooth footwork. Fields the ball out front, movements laterally were athletic. Consistent accuracy to the bag, used a loose arm action and a high ¾ slot. Raw on the mound, using a loose arm action he showed developing arm speed from a high ¾ arm angle.
