Notes

Comments

6/13/23

Physical: 5-11, 160 pounds; Athletic, wiry build. 7 runner in the 60.

Offensively: LHH. Even setup, with feet wide spread; has a pre-pitch bat waggle. Extended take back of the hands with a moderate leg kick for timing. Stays behind the ball while showing an aggressive lower half. Showed a sweeping swing path. with a two handed finish.  More groundballs than line drives and flyballs with a peak exit velocity of 91 MPH via Trackman.

Defensively: Starts with a compact setup; utilizing a traditional primary position while displaying fluid actions to the baseball. Hands work through the ball with a seamless transfer. Short take back from a standard 3/4 arm slot. 1.93-2.05 pop times. C - 77 MPH. Used his athleticism well behind the plate.

2/11/23

Physical: 5-foot-11, 160 pounds; Athletic, wiry build. 7 runner in the 60.

Offensively: LHH. Even setup, with feet just outside his shoulders; upright bat position. Extended take back of the hands with an exaggerated leg kick for timing. Slides weight forward pre-contact. while showing an average effort from the legs. Showed a slight lift to the ball with a two handed finish.  More flyballs than line drives and groundballs with a peak exit velocity of 92 MPH via Trackman. Hand speed stands out, could benefit from cleaning up his weight transfer in the lower half.

Defensively: Starts with a low to the ground setup;  while staying low during receiving. Hands work through the ball with a clean transfer. Short take back from a standard 3/4 arm slot. 2.0-2.07 pop times. C - 76 MPH. IAccurate throws around the 2B bag, gets rid of the ball quickly with plus arm strength.
