10/12/18 - Mississippi commit. 5-foot-11, 170-pound two-way prospect. Athletic, loose arm, twitchy arm. Offensively, he has present bat speed, a feel to hit and short level swing. Struggled a bit with command, but has a loose arm and throws from a 3/4 slot. Fastball worked 85-88 mph with some late life. Slider has potential and struck out one in two innings. Overall, there is a lot of athleticism, ran a 6.85 60, and has some projection and true two-way potential.

05/20/18- Ole Miss recruit, he continues to make big strides psychically and continues to translate to both sides of the ball. Offensively, he is athletic, running a 6.93 60. He comes through the ball and tracks down balls efficiently in the outfield. Throws are accurate with carry. The added strength really translated well offensively. He continues to stay compact and level, but showed ability to drive the ball through the gap. He has a double and a single and stayed on time and on the barrel. On the mound, he worked 86-88 mph, with more 88 than 86. The fastball has sneaky late life. The 3/4 arm action is easy and effortless, with the athleticism translating very well to the mound. Showed a feel for a changeup at 78 mph and a short slider at 69-70 mph. Overall, he is a true two-way talent  and on the upward trend.
08/20/17- Gilbert has continued to stand out and perform since the Future Games. He has consistently shown his athleticism and above average bat-to-ball skills. The swing is slightly uphill and has more power then you would think. Also ran 6.8 60 yard dash. He is still fairly new to the mound but you can see the high upside. The arm really works and is loose and whippy from a 3/4 slot. The fastball ranges from 85-87 touching 88 mph with some late life. He tends to get around the slider, but should continue to improve as he logs more innings. Also showed a feel for a changeup. The bat and athleticism will play offensively and the arm is going to make big strides as he logs innings.
08/06/17- Gilbert has a lean, athletic frame and really stood out as a two-way player throughout the week. He has a lean, twitchy frame and runs well with a 6.88 60 yard dash time that translated to the game both in the outfield and on the basepaths. The left-handed hitter has a short, simple load with a short, level swing through the zone. He has a feel for the barrel and present gap-to-gap power. On the mound, he has a loose, easy 3/4 arm action with a fastball that ranged mostly 84-86 mph touching 88 mph with a feel for a slider and changeup. Overall he is very athletic with present tools and projects.

01/21/17- The 5-foot-11, 155-pound LHP/OF still has a lot of room to fill out, but has shown that when he does he will have a chance to make a huge jump. From the outfield he has shown a big arm, topping out at 85 mph. At the plate, the left handed hitter has a good path with a quick swing and feel for the barrel. On the mound he shows a feel for pitching. With a clean ¾ arm action, repeatable delivery and showed the ability to spin the breaking ball. The fastball ranged from 81-83 and the curveball was 70 mph with good shape. Overall, the arm action and athleticism works and will make a jump as he grows and fills out.
4/5/16 - 5-foot-9, 140 pound outfielder with a lean athletic very young body. Loose easy outfield actions. Good jumps and reads. Tracks ball well. Below average arm with some carry but has a loose easy working arm that will improve with physical maturity. Quick release. Very coordinated. Loose quick bat that just lacks physical strength right now. Good looking very young outfielder whose overall game will improve with physical maturity and strength.
