Ka'alekahi Kuhaulua, Kailua (HI), 2027 Hawaii
Positional Profile: OF/LHP
Body: 6-2, 178-pounds.
Hit: LHH. Confident, relaxed look in the box with an athletic base. Keeps his posture controlled and lets the swing work without excess movement. Left-handed hitter with a power-driven path and intent through the zone. Generates consistent hard contact with lift showing naturally when squared up. Ball jumps off the barrel with carry to the pull side and into the gaps, translating raw strength into real game impact. 68.2 mph bat speed with 9 G's of rotational acceleration.
Power: 96 max exit velocity, averaged 86.0 mph. 369' max distance.
Arm: LH. OF-90 mph. Effortless arm path that repeats with ease, producing clean backspin and high-carry throws across the diamond at 90+, with clear signs of more in the tank as the strength continues to be added
Defense: Physical outfielder who moves swiftly and covers ground with long strides, plays under control when tracking the baseball.
ATH: 7.34 runner in the 60. 1.63 and 3.97 in the 10 and 30 yard splits. 26.30 max vertical.
Vizual Edge: 69.56 Edge Score

6-01/166. Kuhaulua makes the game look easy, on both sides of the ball. Prep Baseball Hawaii’s #1 ranked 2027 and University of Hawaii commit is a premium two-way DI recruit who is already one of the top two-way players in all Hawaii, at 15 years old. Baseball bloodlines blessed Kuhaulua with long limbs, a high waist and huge body projection as he could end up bigger and stronger than most would project. The L/L two-way freshman projects offensively with plus hit/plus hit-for-power RF and has been to 89 mph on bump with advanced pitchability. ‘Ale comes from a long line of Kuhaulua’s who were drafted, went on to play professionally and the jury is out which way he’ll end up better. As much as Prep Baseball Hawaii loves him on the bump, his bat is his ticket to get drafted and develop into a Big Leaguer. 24 MLB scouts saw him at Hawaii Fall Showcase and all have him locked-in as a potential 2027 MLB draft.

Kuhaulua makes the game look easy, on both sides of the ball. Prep Baseball Hawaii’s #1 ranked 2027 and University of Hawaii commit is a premium two-way DI recruit who is already one of the top two-way players in all Hawaii. At 6-foot-1, 165-pounds Kuhaulua is far from physically mature, has been to 87mph on bump with advanced pitchability and also projects as a hit/hit-for-power LHH CF/RF. ‘Ale comes from a long line of Kuhaulua’s who were drafted, went on to play professionally and the jury is out which way he’ll end up better – I got my money on the bat.

Hawaii Commit, showed a really high ceiling as a two-way prospect this week at the 15u National Championship. At the plate showed a really disciplined approach with a flat bat plane and sweet left handed swing. On the mound is where he really shined in our opinion. Opened up against a Canes Midwest team that made it to the championship and competed, worked out of some jams and showed immense feel for all 3 pitches. Worked a rising FB 81-83 topping out at 85, a pure gyro SL at 73-75 and a true spin killed CH at 70-72.
