McGhiey displayed a high setup at the dish, with an open stance. Kept his hands back well to drive the ball back up the middle in multiple AB’s. Didn’t show any problems getting to extension on some long foul-balls and hits over the outfielders’ heads.
Positional Profile: 1B/RHP
Body: 6-2, 175-pounds.
Defense: INF - 81 mph. Softer hands, good footwork, athletic for position, moves well around bag.
Hit: Open stance, leg kick trigger, arm bar in load, pull approach, line drive contact with flashes of power in bat to pull side of field.
Power: 84 mph exit velocity from the tee.
Run: 7.70 runner in the 60.
Delivery: Rocker into higher balance point, longer stride, lands inline to catcher.
Arm Action: Arm works well, compact and clean, projects to add velocity.
FB: T84, 82-84 mph. Varying action with flashes of solid cut to glove side.
CB: 68-70 mph. More gradual break with 11/5 shape.
SL: 79-81 mph. Firm with above avg. depth.
CH: 77-80 mph. Solid overall action.

CB: 73-76 mph. Above avg. 11/5 CB with sharper break.
