3/6/16- 5-foot-11, 155-pound right-handed hitting 2-way player. Raw mechanically but showed good action on 3-pitch mix at event. Fastball was 75-78 mph with run and good command of zone. 12/6 breaking ball had sharp break; inconsistent around zone. Had solid command of changeup with good fade. 4.31 home-to-first. Choppy rhythm. Leans back at contact. Middle-away approach. Inconsistent contact off barrel. 82 mph exit velocity. Raw mechanically in field. Could improve with additional reps. Would like to see him work on rhythm, fluidity, and playing through baseball with better footwork. 76 mph arm strength across infield.
5-foot-9, 140-pound 2-way player. 8.28 60 time. 71 mph exit velocity off tee. Wide base with minimal load. Swing is uphill with below average bat speed. Need for increased strength. Long high ¾ arm action across infield. Average glove and feet on ground balls. 70 mph arm strength across diamond. Long loose arm action from high ¾ slot. Circle tends to shorten from ear occasionally. Collapse at balance point causing shoulder tilt and throwing uphill. Ability to throw strikes with 3 pitches. Freshman who will continue to develop with maturity and added strength.
