The right-hander sat 90-91, touched 92 on this look, and was up to 95 earlier in the fall. He also flashed an above average 82-83 mph slider that spun in the 2600+ rpm range and he maintained good arm speed on a low-spin, mid-80s changeup.

After undergoing TJ surgery as a freshman, Scherbenske only pitched a handful of innings last spring for the Bears. On this look the loose-armed, 6-foot-3, 210 pound righty filled up the strike zone with an 89-91 mph fastball, 74-75 mph curveball and an 81 mph changeup.
