5-foot-10, 180-pound catcher/third baseman. 4.10 home to first time. Physical build. High elbow receiving. Needs to work underneath baseball. Blocking is ok. Weight tends to be out front of base. Slides around plate on catch and throw. Has arm strength. Accuracy and pop times would improve with better direction. Pop times ranged 2.00-2.1 with 74 mph arm strength to second base. Has very good feet and actions at third base. Works hard to get right hop. Very active with lower half and plays position well. Arm works with carry and accuracy at 83 mph across infield. Double tap trigger into swing. Loses bat angle in load; tends to push barrel through zone. Solid contact on balls middle-away. 81 mph exit velocity off tee. Overall has good ability. Like actions in field; arm plays and has strength. Only a 2016 so has time to clean up minor things mechanically. Will be a follow through spring and into Iowa high school summer season.
