6/16/15 - 6-foot-1, 175-pounds, athletic frame, uses long arm action through a high-3/4 slot, quick arm, fastball sat 82-85 mph, works both sides of the plate and not afraid to attack hitters inside, throws a 68-70 mph curveball with 1/7 action that was good when down in the zone, 73 mph changeup is thrown with good arm action with late fade and sink, allowed three hits and struck out one swinging on a curveball in his two innings of work. Elliott is one of the better available 2016 left-handed arms in KY’s 2016 class.
6/17/14 - 6-foot, 165-pound prospect with athletic frame, uses long arm action through an over the top arm slot, fastball is straight and sat 81-83 touching 84 once, he struggled to command his breaking ball which varied between 68-72 mph but threw his fastball for strikes while allowing no hits and striking out two of the five batters he faced in game action, should continue to develop breaking ball, established himself as a 2016 LHP to keep an eye on. As a position player, Elliott showcased an 86 mph tee exit velocity hitting from a slightly open stance with a short stride. He is a line drive type hitter who showed the ability to use all fields in going 2-for-4 in game play with a single to left and a single to right-center. Also showed the ability to use his speed with a stolen base and ran 4.33 down the first base line. Elliott showed some arm strength from the outfield at 84 mph from a high ¾ slot while playing through the baseball and showed he is a 2016 prospect to follow.
3/9/20: Senior lefty should receive some Day Three draft interest with a low spin (2000s) fastball that reaches 90 mph and and useable 77-80 mph slurve from a high three-quarter slot. Also mixed in an effective changeup with good depth/bottom in the low-80s. Elliott has also been a consistent performer with a career 2.09 ERA and 72 strikeouts in 74 IP for the Cardinals. (Seifert)
8/15/18: Six-foot-one, 190 pounds. Medium build. Clean arm action. High release. Simple, repeatable delivery with direction towards target. Highly effective arm out of the pen this summer. Tough matchup for LHH. Fastball sat 87-89 mph. Paired it with a slurve type breaking ball at 74-77. (D Jurik)
