4/25/22

Seen mostly as a defense-first utility guy his first two years in Lexington, the 5-foot-11 left handed hitter has developed in the batter's box his junior year. Currently producing a season slash of .325/.440/.623 with 11 doubles, 11 home runs and 35 RBI, Estep has also walked 29 times. And he continues to produce consistent, hard contact each week. His top exit velocity this spring is 110 mph and has 36 batted balls of 100+ mph. With a disciplined approach, good balance and plenty of bat speed at the plate, he also has the ability to extend an at-bat. Defensively, Estep showed average to slightly better arm strength with good body control and quickness. He's an above average runner underway, closer to average down the line and has stolen 12 bases in 15 attempts.. The current starter at third base for the Wildcats, Estep will likely move over to the keystone while also having utility value at the pro level. He is likely to be selected in the top 10 rounds.

Seen mostly as a defense-first utility guy his first two years in Lexington, the 5-foot-11 left-handed hitter has erupted in the batter's box his junior year. Currently sitting on a season slash of .417/.521/.792 with 8 HR, 19 BB and 19 SO, Estep saved his best performance for Sunday going 3-for-4 with three RBI and five runs scored. His EVs sparkled with a 100 mph HR and a 96.4 mph double. His lone hit on Saturday was a 102 mph line drive single up the middle. With a disciplined approach, good balance and plenty of bat speed at the plate, he also showed the ability to extend an AB with a nine pitch effort against Cannon on Friday night. Defensively, Estep showed average to slightly better arm strength with good body control and quickness. He's an above average runner underway, and closer to average down the line. The current starter at third base for the Wildcats, Estep will likely move over to the keystone while also having utility value at the pro level.

Left-handed hitting infielder with pop in the bat. Good athlete who can run. Advanced hitter.
