2/3/13 Heady clearly stood out as the top middle infielder at the Super 60. Although he has a slight 6-foot, 165-pound frame, he is at once explosive and effortless. He makes the game look easier than his peers, which was clearly evident by his athletic feet and advanced angles he takes to the baseball. Unlike many shortstops, he has the ability to release the baseball at any angle and keep it on-line with zip. Heady appeared more intent on showing off his advanced footwork and transfer rather than arm strength. He was clocked at 80 mph across the infield; at other events at peak baseball times, he’s been in the upper-80s, low-90s. The Kentucky recruit is also 88-91 on the mound, though he didn’t pitch at the Super 60.
