Cape Cod: Forbes is a two-way player with some juice in his bat who also batted .256 for Brewster in 39 at-bats, but he was much more of a factor on the mound, where he had a 2.59 ERA and 20 strikeouts in 17.1 innings. He also issued just 10 walks, which is a crucial number for him given that he walked 15 in 9.1 innings in the spring at Louisville. The righthander looks the part at 6-foot-3 and 200 pounds and has good stuff to match. He works with a relatively high-spin fastball (up around 2,500 rpm at times) that sits in the low 90s, touching the mid 90s, and a breaking ball in the mid-to-high 70s that could reasonably be called either a slider or curveball depending on the look. He has a high-energy delivery and demeanor on the mound that is a natural fit with a role in the bullpen, which makes the most sense for him right now given his reliance on that two-pitch mix. 

6-foot-2, 170-pound projectable frame. Performed well in the 60-yard dash, clocking a speedy time of 6.97. Advanced during batting practice, Forbes recorded an exit velocity of 95 mph. Began in an athletic stance with an smooth load, then used a big leg kick. Has a simple swing plane, explosive bat speed and good extension on his finish. Found multiple barrels with tons of loud contact . Gap to gap approach. From the outfield, his best throws to the bases were registered at 85 mph. Projectable while in the infield, made throws at velocities up to 81 mph; showed a clean exchange, soft hands, and athletic feet. Fields the ball out front, movements laterally were athletic. Consistent accuracy to the bag, used a loose arm action and a ¾ slot.

At the plate, the right-handed hitter recorded an exit velocity of 86 mph. Begins in a
balanced stance with a small load, then uses a small leg kick right before his swing. Displays
a simple swing plane, quick bat speed and level finish. Line drive approach. In the outfield,
he showed the ability to make throws to the bases at 84 mph; has athletic footwork, a fluid
exchange and sure hands. In the infield, his best throw was recorded at 75 mph across the
field. out front fielding mechanics. Had a loose arm action and a high ¾ slot. He clocked a
time of 7.23 in the 60-yard dash.
