The athletic, 5-foot-11, 180 pounder two-way from Marshall County jumped onto the scene in impressive fashion at our Upperclass State AC Games this fall. Projects as a pitcher at the next level, and his atheticism will serve him well on the mound. Oakley is a 6.98 runner who flashed a 92 mph arm from the outfield. Hopped on the mound where his quick arm immeditely stands out. Generated a lot of swing and miss with a fastball up to 89.3 mph and spin rates in the 2300's. The power curveball is impressive with sharp 11/5 action at 73-74 mph with a max spin rate that pushed 2700, and he flashed a developing slider in the high-70's that has the potential to be a wipeout offering in the future. One of the top few arms left on the board in KY.

Position: OF/RHP

Body: 5-foot-11, 170-pound lean lanky build.

Hit: (RHH) Started in a balanced stance with a tight quick load, then used a small leg kick. Flashed bat speed. Good extension on his finish, upward swing. Gap to gap approach.

Power: 86.5 mph exit velocity, average 78.3 mph. 67.2 mph bat speed average. 21.2 mph hand speed average.

Defense:  (IF) Twitchy hands, in control footwork, clean exchange. (OF) Athletic footwork. Solid.  Fielded the ball to the side with athletic movement laterally.

Arm: 86 mph infield velocity. 88 mph outfield velocity. Very quick arm action, ¾ slot, consistent accuracy.

Pitching: Capable. Drop-and-drive delivery, some effort. ¾ arm angle, good arm speed, quick arm action. Consistent balance point, lands closed, an athletic finish.

FB: 83-86 mph. (Max spin 2343;  Avg 2239). Up in the zone in the zone accuracy, swing and miss tilt action, straight movement.

CB: 67-70 mph. In the zone control, hard tight action, sharp 1/7 sharp movement. (Max spin 2534; Avg 2513).

CH: 77 mph. Arm side control, gradual sinking action, heavy movement.

SL: 74 mph. (Max spin 2219; Avg 2219).
