6-foot-1, 145-pound lanky frame. Projectable during batting practice, Patrick clocked an exit velocity of 80 mph. Starts in a balanced stance with a smooth load, then uses a short stride. Bat speed was average, and showed a short loose swing plane. He barreled up some balls during the round. Line drive approach. Capable in the infield, his position velocity was registered at 71 mph; has sure hands, average feet, and a quick exchange. Movements laterally were average. Used a high ¾ slot and a short arm action while showing consistent accuracy to the bag. In the 60-yard dash, his time was 7.33. On the mound, showed an long arm action and an over-the-top arm angle. Tall-and-fall type pitcher who uses easy effort. Lands square with a clean finish. Produced a fastball that came in at 72-72 mph with a max of 73 mph; has a consistent command that shows straight movement. Shows occasional control and gradual action on his 12/6 curveball (61-64).
