6-foot, 200 pounds. Strong player that swung the bat with some force during event. Controlled, upright stance. Uses in and up timing with front leg. Has advanced feel when barrel gets out front. Had a couple really solid at-bats with balls hit square, but right at a defender. Has an aggressive approach and swings hard. Had two hits in game one on the weekend. Also got up to 80 mph on the mound, which is a slight increase from the last time we saw him.

8/11/18 - Max FB: 78, FB: 75-77, CB: 60-65, CH: 68-70, SL: 64-68 6-foot-0, 200-pound, RHP showed projectable arm speed. Medium, sturdy frame w/ well-proportioned present strength throughout, some physical projection. Has a chance to be pretty physical. Pitches from a full wind-up into H ¾ to ¾ release from the first base side of the rubber. Straight FB showed occasional short arm-side run. Loose medium downer CB w/ occasional proper shape. Tendency to drop his slot on his off-speed stuff. Short cut-like SL shows occasional depth. CH w/ arm-speed, fade and occasional sink. Thrower sprayed the zone on this day.

6-foot-0, 200-pound, RHH showed an advanced frame. Medium, sturdy frame w/ well-proportioned present strength throughout, some physical projection. Has a chance to be pretty physical. Offensively, hits w/ a slightly open, slightly crouched stance w/ short hand rhythm into toe tap and proper load. Flashes bat speed through the zone when synced up. Shows ability to jump on a baseball. Lower half occasionally gets involved, once he learns to tap into it consistently, shows the ability to drive the baseball and reach a power ceiling. Projectable pull power. Defensively, presents a quality low target w/ little glove rest. Drop to a knee receiver for FB’s, stays in the crouch for breaking balls. Would like to see him stay in the crouch for everything and present the quality target from the crouch position (presents an occasional good target when crouched w/ glove turn rest). Shows ability to stick pitches. Developing mobility. As a thrower, steps to the side instead of staying within his box at times, creating some length, developing footwork w/ carry to target arm strength.
