Right-hander Tyler Guilfoil has drawn pro attention lately with a lively 91-94 mph swing/miss fastball. He throws from a lower release height around 5.4" and creates 17-19" of IVB (Induced Vertical Break), giving his heater some good ride. The Lipscomb transfer has good arm action, but struggled with control (24 BB in 36 IP) and secondary offerings in the past. However, he's improved both his upper-70s breaking ball and mid-80s changeup, as well as his strike-throwing abilities so far in 2022 with six BB and 26 SO in 13.2 IP.

6-foot-3, 180-pound projectable RHP with ideal pitcher’s frame, uses a long arm swing with clean arm action and works through a high-3/4 slot with normal effort, repeats delivery well and pounds the strikezone, stays tall and uses leverage to produce occaisonal downward plane on fastball, has feel for curveball with 11/5 break, good arm action on changeup. Guilfoil worked two innings allowing two hits and a walk. There should be more velocity to come for the projectable right-hander.

6-foot-3, 180-pound RHH starts with a wide base and loads back with a leg kick into a short stride, short path to the ball, line drive hitter with flashes of occasional gap power when everything is in sync, good extension through contact. Long, rangy defender with good actions, soft hands play well, high-3/4 release with good arm strength and carry across the infield, accurate throws.
