2/18/13 - 5-foot-9, 155-pound prospect, shows quick exchange and short arm action, good arm strength across the field at 83 mph, footwork can be more fluid. At the plate, he uses a slightly open stance, wraps the bat and bars arm, uses a big leg kick trigger which generates power and uses a big finish through the ball, gets lower half torque in swing to create bat speed into the zone, registered an event best 91 mph tee exit velocity. On the mound, he uses long arm action through a high ¾ arm slot to produce an 84-86 mph fastball with slight arm side run.  His curveball showed some bite with 11/5 action at 65-67 mph.  He showed good feel and command of his changeup which sat 70-71 mph with some fade.  Ching shows max effort in his delivery and uses his athleticism to his advantage with quick arm speed.
