6/17/14 - 6-foot-4, 180-pound prospect with good projectability and upside, works through a high ¾ arm slot, fastball sat 84-86 in his first inning of work then dropped to 80-83 in the second, breaking ball varied between 72-76 mph with late bite, allowed one hit and struck out three of the ten batters he faced, all coming in his first inning of work.  Burton committed to Kentucky Wesleyan following the Top Prospect Games Event.

8/25/13 - 6-foot-4, 179-pound prospect with lanky build, projectable frame, uses long arm action through a high ¾ arm slot, showed increase in velocity and improvement in mechanics from previous event, fastball sat 84-86 with occasional arm-side run, big improvement in command of curveball at 70-72 mph with sharp 11/5 action, got several swings and misses with the curveball, big potential on mound.  As position player, shows some hesitance playing through the ball in the outfield, good arm strength at 85 mph with on-line carry.  At the plate, hits from a wide setup, tends to drop hands in load, long swing path, shows strength in swing, showed bat speed off the tee with 89 mph exit velocity, went 0-for-4 in game play, ran 7.75.

6/26/13 - 6-foot-4, 175-pound prospect with very projectable frame, uses long arm action through a high ¾ arm slot, shows some rhythm in delivery, flies open at times and falls off first base side, fastball sat 81-82 mph, 2-seamer showed good arm side run, lacked command of 66-69 mph curveball, curveball was good when he stayed closed with sharp 11/5 action, changeup showed good run and sink at 70-73 mph thrown with good arm action, has some minor mechanical issues to work out but definite pitcher to follow in the 2015 class.
