Long, lean, and athletic at 6'3" 185 lbs. The former Future Gamer and University of Louisiana-Lafayette recruit has started to swing the bat well for the Bears lately, and that continued last Thursday against Live Oak, as he finished the game 3-3 with 2 RBI, R, and a SB. In his first at-bat, Wright drilled a two-out, 2 RBI single up the middle to give Catholic BR a 3-0 lead after one inning of play, which probably turned out to be the biggest hit of the game. He collected two more singles on the night with one being a groundball in the six-hole, where he was able to use his 6.49 speed to beat out an infield hit.

Positional Profile: OF/OF Former Future Gamer and a steady riser in the state's 2024 class
Body: 6-3, 185-pounds. Projectable, long, and athletic
Hits: LHH. Starts in an open, tall, and upright stance, uses a simple load and stride and gets his front foot down early Direct path to contact with uphill extension, got into a couple balls during BP to the pull-side gap showing some present power. Took much improved in-game AB's during gameplay collecting a single up the middle and two-strike infield single during a competitive AB.
Power: 93 max exit velocity, averaged 85.7 MPH. 341' max distance.
Arm: RH. OF-82 mph. Short arm action, releases from over the top
Defense: Long strider in the OF, gets good reads and jumps off the bat, has the speed and instincts to stick in CF.
Run: 6.57 runner in the 60.

Body: 6-3, 175-pounds. Projectable, lean, and athletic
Hit: LHH. Starts in a tall and balanced stance, reaching out with his front foot early to be on time Hips slide forward at times, works inside the ball short to long with a high finish which creates natural loft, future pull-side power.
Power: 87.2 max exit velocity, averaged 79.5 mph. 312’ max distance.
Arm: RH. OF - 83 mph. Long and loose with a high 3/4 release
Defense:  pop times. Plenty of speed to stick in CF long term, gets good jumps off the bat and can run down almost any ball.
Run: 6.49 runner in the 60. Graceful with long strides
