His final stat line (6 IP, 5 H, 4 R, 2 ER, 3 BB, 8 K's) against Zachary last Saturday was not indicative of his overall performance. Of the five hits that he allowed, only one was well struck. His FB worked up to 90 mph in the first inning and sat 88-89 mph for the first two inning, before settling in at 85-87 mph in the 3rd-5th. Fontenot's mid-70's CB showed solid shape and he was able to land it for strikes and bury it with two strikes. He continues to stack together good outings on top of each other and will undoubtedly lead Calvary Baptist the rest of the way this spring.

Body: 5-10, 175-pounds. Athletic with a strong lower-half
Delivery: Starts on 3B side of rubber and stays there throughout an athletic and repeatable delivery, gets in back leg early, strides on-line and finishes square to his target.
Arm Action: LH. Long and loose arm stroke with a 3/4 release.
FB: T87, 85-86 mph. Stays down in the zone with some life and arm-side sink at times, can go in/away to both RHH and LHH. T2066, 1918 average rpm.
SL: 74-75 mph. Varies between "1-7" and "2-8" shape, sharp with late break down in zone to glove side. T1913, 1800 average rpm.
CH: 78-79 mph. Keeps same arm stroke as FB, kills spin and dives off the table. T1206, 1204 average rpm.

Delivery: Starts on 1B side of rubber and stays there throughout an athletic and up tempo delivery, strides on-line and finishes square to his target.
Arm Action: LH. Loose and easy arm action, release from a 3/4 slot
FB: T84.9, 82-84 mph. Natural arm side sink and run, did a good job of pounding his FB down and to the arm side during gameplay T2196, 1957 average rpm.
CB: 67-70 mph. "2-8" in shape with average spin and depth, showed ability to land for strikes in any count T2025, 1913 average rpm.
SL: 72-73 mph. Sweeping SL with more lateral break, used as a put away pitch with 2 strikes T2059, 2005 average rpm.
CH: 76-76 mph. Good fade and run, kept same arm stroke T1503, 1503 average rpm.
