A South Alabama signee with a 5-foot-10, 175-pound frame from Denham Springs, LA. Athletic build with present strength and fast twitch actions. Quality defender that runs well with tracking instincts and plus arm strength. Left-handed hitter with smooth stroke, loads of bat speed, strength at contact, and raw power potential. Plays the game extremely hard and fast. A raw product on the mound, but possess a loose, whippy arm that sits 88-91 mph and gets up to 92 mph. He has flown under the radar for the majority of his career, but is making some noise as a possible draft sleeper.

2/22/18 -5’11/190, L/L, Junior. The athletic center fielder showed why he is considered a top 20 overall pick. Despite hitting off balance, a result of a narrow base and a long stride, he keeps his hands back in slot and shows his explosive, strong hands at the plate. His swing is easy and he whistles the bat through the zone with the torque he produces with the separation of hands/hips. He also has very good hand/eye. Last season he was susceptible to the changeup and left handed pitching at times. He seems to have solved the left-handed issue as he smoked a long home run to right field and added a line drive single to the opposite field against lefties on Saturday. He is smooth defensively, running consistently strong routes to go along with his plus speed. He also has an above average arm. The ball comes out hot on a low trajectory to his target. On the hop, the ball skips low and picks up speed. Overall, Swaggerty is a potential five tool talent with power production being the only question mark. He’s a sure first round talent. How high he’s taken really depends on the health of similar draft talents around him and a team’s preference for a college bat.
