A recent riser in our 2027 State Rankings, Teague showed well at our Hahnville Scout Day last month, so we were excited to get a look at him at the Trey Altick Tournament last weekend, and we ended up getting to see him twice over the course of the three-day event.  The sophomore shortstop starts in a slightly wider base with his hands set at shoulder height and uses loose wrists to whip the bat head through the zone.  In our two game look, he caught a couple barrels with both being to the opposite field.  One was a line drive right at the RF against Ruston and the other was a triple to the RCF gap on Saturday against Opelousas Catholic.  A "QB1" on the gridiron each fall, Teague seems like a gamer and winning type of player that every coach wants to have on their side.
