At 6-foot-1, 210 pounds, McClure brings a strong, physical presence to the box — and he backed it up with a monster week for the Broncos.
The uncommitted senior erupted over Zachary’s five-game stretch, hitting .700 with a home run, double, seven RBI, and six walks. He consistently delivered quality at-bats and proved to be a steady run producer in the middle of the order.
His biggest swing came in Zachary’s come-from-behind win over Brother Martin last Thursday. Facing the Crusaders, McClure went 2-for-3 with a home run, three RBI, and a run scored. In the bottom of the fifth inning, he launched a three-run shot that flipped the game and gave the Broncos a lead they wouldn’t relinquish.
With his physicality, strength at contact, and disciplined approach, McClure made a loud statement this week — and as an uncommitted senior, he’s a name college programs should be circling.
