5'11" 170 lbs. durable frame with a strong lower-half. Rowell got the start last Monday against district-rival Teurlings Catholic and turned in a really good outing for the Cougars. He worked at an up-tempo pace with an athletic delivery and short/quick arm action. Rowell's 73-76 mph SL was his go-to pitch against the Rebels. The pitch had good late-break across the zone with really good spin rates up to 2700 RPM's, and he was able to land it for strikes and bury it with two strikes. After landing his SL early, he wasn't afraid to attack in or up in the zone with his 82-86 mph FB that topped out at 88 mph in the 5th inning. Rowell finished the game tossing 6 2/3 innings giving up 2 H and 3 ER with 3 BB and 4 K's. His aptitude for spin stood out, which makes him a good uncommitted follow, in the state's 2025 class, for the rest of this spring and into the summer.
