ACADEMIC GAMES II
5-foot-10, 160-pound right-handed pitcher. Showed very well again, as he has a very good feel for pitching. The delivery is online and above 3/4 in slot. The lift is repeated, tracking of the front shoulder can improve in direction. The arm is quick and he shows a feel for all 3 pitches. The fastball sat 81-82 mph, arm side run. The spin pitch is excellent in shape, sitting 72-73 mph. The changeup is 76-77 mph, fade and sink to the pitch at times. I like him on the mound, quick arm, athletic and he can spin the ball.

7/24/19

5-foot-10, 160-pound right-handed hitting outfielder and right-handed pitcher. Much improved player since we last saw him as he is filling out. Ran a 4.4 home to first at the workout. The approach in the outfield is aggressive and athletic. Threw 85 mph with carry and accuracy. The bat has a tee exit velocity of 85 mph. The setup is wide in base, front foot steps into the swing. The path has lift in it, as he top spins some balls. The finish is high. On the mound, the fastball sat 80-81 mph, run and action to the ball. The spin pitch is excellent in shape, sitting 70-72 mph. The changeup is a developing pitch. The delivery is online with the feet and above 3/4 in slot. The lift is athletic and quick in tempo. Small amount of coil as he goes into foot strike. The arm works very well and he is a strike thrower.

5-foot-8, 150-pound right-handed hitting outfielder. Ran a 7.2 sixty at the event. The approach in the outfield is aggressive and athletic. Has the ability to play all spots in the outfield. Threw 78 mph from right-field to home plate. The bat has a tee exit velocity of 80 mph, as physical strength gains are warranted. The setup is even in base, bottom half under control throughout the swing. Small bat wrap to start, length to the swing. Uses a 1-handed finish after contact. The hands work and he shows good athleticsm.

8/15/18

5-foot-8, 150-pound right-handed hitting utility player and pitcher. Ran a 7.69 sixty on the laser at the event. The movements are athletic and loose. Threw 80 mph from the outfield with carry and accuracy. Certainly fine to play either corner outfield spot. The glove is solid in the infield, could use a clean up of the prep steps to and through the ball. Threw 78 mph across the diamond out of a clean arm action. The bat has a tee exit velocity of 78 mph. The setup is wide in base, uses a knee to knee timing mechanism on the bottom half as the ball approaches. The hands work loosely, the path is currently uphill to contact. Additional physical strength will aid the development of his game, he is a good athlete. On the mound, the fastball touched 78 mph, minimal arm side run to the pitch. The spin pitch is 66-67 mph, correct in shape, needs additional fastball hand speed to it. The changeup is 70 mph and a work in progress. The delivery is online with his feet, above ¾ in slot. The front shoulder tracking needs better alignment as it comes off track as he makes his way into foot strike. The glove side is soft and the lift is repeated. Solid showing.
