Forgues is a 6-foot, 150 pound, right-handed hitting outfielder. He hits from a narrow, slightly open stance. The hands are relaxed, just off the back shoulder. The swing begins with a small leg kick, allowing the weight to get stacked onto the back leg. The bat path is slightly elevated, as the weight remains mostly on the back leg through extension. During the batting practice he showed the ability to spray the ball gap to gap with an exit velocity of 80.2 MPH.
Defensively, Forgues has good footwork in his approach to the baseball. The glove is relaxed, just off the front foot. As he fields the ball, he transitions the ball into a long arm swing that produces a velocity of 73 MPH on his throws. He also ran a 7.6 second sixty.
