7/08/20

6-foot, 165-pound left-handed hitting catcher. He continues to improve each time we see him. Ran a 7.66 sixty at the event. The skill set behind the dish is solid as he receives with confidence and secures the catch with ease. The throwing is clean, he threw 72 mph down to second base with a pop time of 1.94. The feet can continue to improve during the transfer as he continues to mature. The frame can benefit from added strength and weight. The swing has an exit velocity of 86 mph. The setup is even in base and the front foot is picked up and put down as the ball approaches the hitting zone. The hands work as the path is uphill and clean to contact.

6-foot, 170-pound left-handed hitting catcher. I thought he showed very well at the event and see his best days are in front of him. The skill set behind the dish is solid, throwing 73 mph down to second base with a pop time of 2.09. The feet during the transfer can improve as he matures. The receiving is solid, continuing to work on securing the catch is paramount. The bat has a tee exit velocity of 83 mph. The setup is even in base, he uses a knee to knee approach on the bottom half as the ball approaches the hitting zone. The hands work free and clean to the ball. Good looking player and if he adds strength, could make a jump.
