1/31/21

6-foot-1, 170-pound, longer, thin, lean athletic frame, with room for added weight gains. A right-handed pitcher, has a slower, deliberate delivery, smooth, builds momentum down the mound, with good extension on release. On foot strike is inline, throws against a firm front side. The arm action is longer, small jab on bottom of path, working from an above 3/4 slot. The fastball was clocked 77 mph arm side run and ride. Showed a very good changeup, proper shape and fade to it, clocked at 67-69 mph, works off the fastball well. The breaking ball has more top to bottom spin, could use more fastball hand speed to it. Look for velocity to jump and climb at some point.

1/26/20

6-foot-1, 164-pound, longer, lean athletic frame, with tons of room for added weight. A two-way player, showed very well off the mound. This right-hander, has a smooth deliberate delivery. The hands start lower, work up wit his athletic lift, slight coil to it. The arm action is longer, small jab and pause at the bottom of the path, baseball comes out of a 3/4 to high 3/4 slot. The direction is inline, is squared up on release. The fastball touched 78 mph, has arm side run and sink, living in the bottom part of the zone. Breaking ball was rolled in at 64 mph. The changeup showed proper fade action to it, clocked at 67-68 mph. Threw a fork ball as well, clocked at 63-65 mph, had downward tumbling action. At the plate, slightly lower hands and an open stance. The swing is level through the zone, lower half is under control. The approach is more line drive from the middle to pull side of the field. Tee exit velocity was clocked at 80 mph and ran a 4.66 from home to 1st. From the outfield, threw 78 mph, approach was accurate, gains ground on the transfer. The arm worked out of  higher slot, all throws were downhill. Projects for me off the mound, chance to pitch with velocity at some point, shows the ability to work with multiple secondary pitches.

Tee Exit Velocity: 80 mph

Arm Velocity: 78 mph

Home to 1st: 4.66
